By accessing and using The Honeymoon Funds’s website at domain, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement.
In addition, when using the websites services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services, which may be posted and modified from time to time. All such guidelines or rules are hereby incorporated by reference into the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

Any participation in the website will constitute acceptance of this Agreement.

These terms and conditions are applicable to THE HONEYMOON FUND (Pty) Ltd and its website (referred to as ‘the website’).

The Honeymoon Fund provides a service (referred to as ‘the service’) whereby a couple getting married (referred to as ‘the couple’) can plan, book and register their honeymoon and then have their wedding guests (referred to as ‘the guest’) contribute a monetary amount towards the couples honeymoon fund using the website.

Packages booked using the website are done so through our associated companies and agents and will be subject to the relevant associated companies Terms and Conditions in addition to the Terms and Conditions of The Honeymoon Fund (Pty) Ltd.

Packages on the website are correct at time of loading the package. All packages are subject to change dependent on timing of travel and information received from associated companies and agents.

The website and its components are offered for informational purposes only; the website shall not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, usefulness or availability of any information transmitted or made available via the website, and shall not be responsible or liable for any error or omissions in that information. The Honeymoon Fund will endeavor to ensure that information on the website is kept up to date as far as possible.

Package prices quoted on the website are an estimate only of the price of the package. The price may be influenced by the the timing of travel and exchange rates and are subject to a formal quotation being issued to the couple upon registration of their honeymoon fund.
There is no cost to register a honeymoon fund on the website. When registering a honeymoon fund, the couple is responsible for paying the deposit as confirmation of their honeymoon booking with the participating agent. Further to this it is the responsibility of the couple to ensure that all remaining payments due to associated companies and agents for the confirmation of their honeymoon are paid within the due dates. The Honeymoon Fund will endeavor to assist with the timeline of payments due as far as possible, but will not be held responsible for late payments and the consequences thereof.

The couple will collect funds from guests via the website using the payment portal PayFast and shall be collected in a bank account in the name of The Honeymoon Fund (this bank account shall receive payments for multiple users). All users of the website hereby expressly acknowledges and accepts that it shall have no claim to any interest accruing on the amounts held in and to the bank account of The Honeymoon Fund or any moneys standing to the credit thereof (by way of trust or otherwise). The funds collected are subject to bank charges imposed by PayFast as well as the Terms and Conditions applicable to PayFast.

Payments made into the bank account for the couple in a currency other than Rand shall be converted into Rand at The Honeymoon Fund bank’s then current market rate of exchange. Payments from abroad and/or in a currency other than Rand shall be processed in accordance with the PayFast policies and procedures.

A closing statement will be sent by The Honeymoon Fund to the couple indicating the funds collected, from the guest, in respect of their honeymoon fund and the applicable bank charges imposed on the funds collected. The funds collected, less the bank charges, will be used as payment to the agent for the balance owing on the honeymoon package, and the net balance paid, or to be paid, by or to the couple.

All payments from made by The Honeymoon Fund to the couple shall be made in Rand’s and by electronic transfer to a bank account in the name of the couple. The couple shall provide its bank account details for remittances promptly on request by The Honeymoon Fund. Failure to provide accurate bank account details may result in delayed payments to the couple and The Honeymoon Fund is not responsible for any loss occasioned to the couple as a result of the provision of inaccurate bank account details.

The couple will be notified via email every time a guest contributes to their honeymoon fund. Payments received for the couple can be tracked on the website. The identity of persons contributing to the honeymoon fund will be viewable only to the couple applicable to that honeymoon fund, and will not be publically viewable.

The Honeymoon Fund shall provide the service from the date of acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the couple, i.e. from the date of registering a honeymoon fund. The duration of the services provided extends to the date falling ten business days after the couples wedding date as provided upon registration. The Honeymoon Fund may terminate the services immediately if at any time the couple is in breach of these Terms and Conditions or if through no fault of its own it is not possible to provide the services as contemplated herein.

The cancellation of the honeymoon package booked is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant associated companies and agents.

Should the couple wish to cancel their honeymoon fund held with The Honeymoon Fund prior to the intended closing date and stop all contributions being received on behalf of the couple, a notice period of ten business days is applicable. Notice should be given in writing to The Honeymoon Fund stating their intention to close the honeymoon fund and to withdraw their funds collected thus far. The final amount payable to the couple will be made up of the the contributions collected by The Honeymoon Fund less any amounts owed to The Honeymoon Fund on account of charges or otherwise.

A cancellation fee of 10% of the funds collected will be levied thereon and deducted from the final amount paid to the couple upon closure of the honeymoon fund before the intented closing date.

The Honeymoon Fund acts as an intermediary only in showcasing various honeymoon packages made available by associated companies and agents. The Honeymoon Fund will will not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or any other irregularity that may be occasioned by any defect in any vehicle, or other form of conveyance, or by error or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger, carrying out the arrangement of the tour or otherwise in connection therewith. The passenger tickets in use by the airline or charter when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines or charter and the purchasers of those tickets and/or passenger. The Honeymoon Fund makes every effort to ensure that all arrangements and services connected with your travel arrangements will be carried out as specified in the most efficient and effective way possible. However, being intermediaries we do not have direct control over the provision of services by suppliers and, whilst they are in all cases selected with the utmost care, we do not accept liability for error and omissions of such suppliers. It is the couple’s responsibility to satisfy themselves with any local laws and applicable insurance options, if any, for any facilities used or hired. All tax implications of the purchase of the honeymoon package fall solely within the responsibility of the couple purchasing the honeymoon.
The Honeymoon Fund does not hold itself responsible for any delays prior to departure, or during the course of its tours, brought about by technical difficulties, strikes, weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances which are beyond its control. This is also subject to the Terms and Conditions of the relevant agent through which the honeymoon package was booked.
The Honeymoon Fund does not accept liability or pay you compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is affected by “force majeure” (included but not limited to war, threat of war, riot, civil or political unrest, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, adverse weather conditions, closure of ports or airports, air traffic control delays, technical problems, circumstances amounting to “force majeure”. This is also subject to the Terms and Conditions of the relevant agent through which the honeymoon package was booked.
Should you have any special requests these should be conveyed to us at the time of requesting your quotation for booking. The Honeymoon Fund will endeavor to comply with special requests however the The Honeymoon Fund cannot guarantee that these special requests will be met.
It is the responsibility of the couple to ensure that they are individually in possession of the correct documentation prior to departure. The Honeymoon Fund shall not accept responsibility for any consequences of any nature whatsoever, arising from the passenger failing to ensure that he/she has complied with the necessary health/passport/visa/re-entry permit requirements. Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your intended return date.
Travel insurance is essential. We strongly advise the couple to take out travel insurance against cancellation, curtailment, illness, loss of baggage, personal accident, personal liability and default at the time of booking.
For the couple:All data provided to us during the registration of your honeymoon fund and the booking of your honeymoon will be kept in the strictest confidence and not sold or made known to third parties (other than pursuant to any legislative or otherwise legal obligation). Information provided will only be used to create your honeymoon fund, book the honeymoon package selected with the associated company or agent and for distribution of informative newsletters from The Honeymoon Fund.

For the guest: All data provided to us during the contribution towards a honeymoon will be kept in the strictest confidence and not sold or made known to third parties (other than pursuant to any legislative or otherwise legal obligation). Information provided is used solely for providing the gifting information to the couple, and for informative newsletters to be sent. Credit Card details are not kept by The Honeymoon Fund under any circumstances.

The Honeymoon Fund reserves the rights to change, modify, add or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes to these Terms and Conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to the website. It is the user’s obligation to periodically check these Terms and Conditions on the website for changes or updates. The user’s continued use of the website following the posting of changes or updates will be considered notice of the user’s acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including such changes or updates.
